When did I decide to sell my car???
My brother was searching around on ebay and came across a photo that I took and this jag-off is using it as his main description picture. I KNOW this is my pic cause it shows not only the current car that I own, but it also shows the black Mark VIII that I used to own, and the pickup truck that I used to own. The pic was taken in NY when I used to live there, and it has been posted several times here. Here are the two pix......you tell me if they are the same....
this ebay auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-Mark-VIII-Loaded-Leather-Aubergine-color-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ160087204984QQihZ006QQcategoryZ63 05QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) and then check this post (http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showpost.php?p=561&postcount=2) and you tell me if they are the same pix.....
Sorry.....rant off....for now.

I'd say almost. I don't see the white coupe in the background on the ebay pick though.

Report it to Ebay and they will close the auction. That is defintiley the same picture. I'd report that ASAP and ask that ebay contact the potential buyers to warn them as well.

He has another pic under it Joe that doesnt have that white car passing on the street. I thought the same thing at first.
This is no doubt the same pic. Ebay should be notified. Who knows what the actual item is like.

Wow, scary stuff.
Either
1) Maybe YOU stole his pic! Thats a joke.
2) His car is identical, he has no digi cam, saw your pic, copied/pasted, innocent enough I guess.
3) He is trying to rip people off. Which with a car is pretty tough, being they will have to come pick it up, I think they notice if he tries to tell them his heap is the same one in the photo. Its not like he will ship it 1k miles away to a unsuspecting buyer.
What I don't get is the other pics look like they could be his actual car. His headlights have turned brown (yours are still clear) and his looks sideswiped on the pass. side. Yours clearly is not. He doesn't even acknowledge the damage??
I would email him asking for more pics. Report it as well. I would be jacked myself, if I were you, Good Luck.

its a legit auction, where a guy is trying to sell the car as evidenced by the MD plates,
but he's trying to be a crook by passing off the side pics of your obviously better condition car.

Oh, this guy is good......HE is threatening me cause someone sent him a message......well he is in for a world of hurt now cause I was not going to contact ebay about it, but due to what he wrote I am now....here is what he sent me as a response....
Please do not have you or your friends contact me again. This is a final warning. The picture was posted by mistake and Ebay will not let me remove it since the auction has already started. I contacted them once I saw the mistake and they would not remove the picture.
So, this is what I wrote to him.....
Ok, well first of all I did not ask anyone to do what they did. I am perfectly capable of handling things on my own, but since you seem like you are threatening me with god knows what....if the auction is NOT pulled within the next 12 hours then I WILL be talking to ebay about it and see what kind of ramifications can be handed out.
WHO the farq does this guy think he is....he steals MY picture and then has the balls to threaten me? Please, does he really know who he is dealing with. I WAS going to be nice and let it slide, just bust his balls about it, but HE threatening me with "the final warning" I will take action just as my response says.....
Oh, and EVERYONE that reads this thread could you please go to the auction and barage him with questions or comment or whatever. I REALLY want this guy pissed off.....as I am now.

I appreciate it guys.....I WAS going to just let him use the pic cause he did have other pix of the car that i guess he was selling, but he decided to give ME an attitude. WTF was this guy thinking, he steals my pic, puts it on his computer, uploads it to ebay to use it as a descriptiong pic, and then give ME an attitude cause a few ppl decided to question him about it.
THEN, if anyone has sold anything on ebay, when you upload pix to an auction you can verify the damn pic before you finish the auction....so it was clearly no accident. Oh well, he closed the auction down and I have his sn saved so I will check on him from time to time to see if he steals something else.
Again, I appreciate all the help and everything with this.....good lookin out.....:pinkthumb:

I'm glad to see that you had better luck with you situation that I did whent that happened to me. I had my Grave Digger on Craigslist for awhie when some jagoff decided to not only steal all of my pictures but my exact description, as well.
I always check eBay every once in awhile to see if any more are floating around and how much they are going for and sure enough two come up. One's beat to pieces and the other is listed on ebay Canada by a seller in California and the picture is the one I had just taken in my backyard a week earlier. Turns out he was using a ton of other people's pictures including the other guy from around Pittsburgh that has a monster truck kart and takes it to WOW and everyting. A day later he has it posted again and I found out he was too lazy to even copy and paste or save the pictures, he had them linked directly from my craigslist ad! Ebay wouldn't do anything about it because my ad was on craigslist and craigslist wouldn't do anything about it because his ad was on ebay.
