1986 V6 Stang No spark!

My brother has the 1986 LX I used to have and he is having an issue.

He was checking the alternator on the car to make sure it was charging and disconnected the Battery terminal while it was running. Now the car won't start and only has spark when the key is being cycled from the start to run position.

Anytime he tried to check for spark he gets nothing coming out of the coil until he stops cranking the car it gets a faint spark. But he gets absolutely nothing while its cranking.

He has replaced the coil, ignition switch and he has power coming in and out of the coil.

Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Back from the dead,

I am in WV now and would like to try and get this car figured out for my bro. He has also replaced the dizzy with a new one and still has the same problem. Anyone got any ideas?

I was thinking the computer may have went out? Any one have a spare computer for a v6 fox?

Also anyone in the area that would be able to come take a look at it with me? I would really appreciate it.

It is ALIVE! Got a used computer for it and it fired right up. 9 months of sitting and a bunch of new parts and its a $50 computer fixed it lol
