Here is a short picture gallery of cutting the stock springs on my 92 GT to lower the ride height. We removed 3/4 coil off the bottom of the factory front springs. The results are as follows. On a side note, we didn't have the correct spring compressor so we used the wrong one then used safety wire to hold the springs compressed while installing... DO NOT DO THIS... You will die.

TOOLS FOR THE JOB:
Jack
Jackstands
Hacksaw/sawsall (find something to cut them with but dont use heat)
Time
Correct Spring Compressor (which we did not have) Correct spring compressor should be installed inside the spring.
Common Sense (which we totally ignored and completed task anyhow)
Beer
Functional socket set
Dewalt Impact
WD-40
