i have 245's now not nittos just a street 245 size tire, my car with no blower turns those with ease, i think a set of 245 nittos will be enough to grip well but will 315's fit, i have a 4 link rear suspension with strange adjustable shocks and the wheel lips are already rolled, do you think they would tuck, the car came with 275 bfg drag radials and they tucked with out rubbing i wonder if a nitto 315 will do the same

The problem would probably be the quad shock...

i hear those are the only problem so if i dont have them and the lips are rolled i figure they will fit

Do you have 4 or 5 lugs? If you got 5 someone should be able to let you borrow a rim with 315's to see if they would fit...

4 lug but i think 315's only fit a 10in or bigger rear wheel i have 17x9 cobra R's i could do a 275 though that would probably hook good

315's on a 9'' rim look like ass... Nitto makes a 285-40-17
Keep in mind that shittos, I mean Nittos, run small. A 275 nitto is about the same size as a 245 BFG. So a 315 Nitto would probably be about the same size as a 275 BFG. silverworm here had 10.5 wheels on a fox. He sold the car to Paxton shelby (Ron). They will go on but you can not lower the car without some banging and rolling.

NITTO 315s on a 17x9 Cobra R fits fine and didn't look like ass.
The Nitto 315 is more like a 285.

Not the best pick but I don't feel like reloading the better rear shot.

I just don't like how the sidewall sucks in to the rim...
The little bit of "bulge" you get looks pretty good. Not going to help with corner carving but it looks great none the less.

My 315 hoosiers are about an inch wider than my nittos
My 315 hoosiers are about an inch wider than my nittos
Hence the Nittos run small.

If you do it I'd only do it with a Nitto DR.

i think i might just do the 275 tho make it easier and a lil cheaper i just like how wide the 315's look

275 Nitto DR is really small too, a 275 BFG would probably be better.
If you want taller, MT does a 275 28" tall DR.
Both would fit a 9" rim better.

wick is right - I bought a '90 LX from silverworm ( Shaun ) - great little car - and have since sold it to somethingclever ( John ). Shaun did all the work - the rims are 10.5" and the tires are Sumitomos - he used what looked like a 1/4" spacer on both sides and removed the quad shocks. You can't lower the car or it will rub - in fact, I recommend rolling the rear fender lips. Mine weren't rolled, but turning uphill sharply resulted in the low tire rubbing the wheel lip. There was minimal rubbing while driving in a straight line at speed over severe dips, but other than that I never had a problem. That's about all I can remember. I'm sure silverworm can tell you exactly how much pounding was required on the inner wheelhouses. Oh - I remember a tiny bit of rubbing on the exhaust pipe as well - but nothing serious. Good luck!
