Vitaleffects626 and I were pulling my motor yesterday, and when we took the passenger side headers off we found that cyl. #1 has zero carbon buildup. All other exhaust ports have the same typical amount of buildup, but #1 ...zero.
Could I have have a dead cylinder?
I would notice the car running on 7 cylinders...right?
I dyno'd this setup (538whp) at SGS 4 years ago, and haven't touch it since.
I'll try to snap some pics soon.

The cylinder must be dead or starved for fuel. Could be a brokend rocker, a wiped cam lobe, bad injector. It's time to start trouble shooting...

In addition to what has been mentioned, water will clean the heck out of a cylinder. Possibly a tweaked head gasket on that hole, a crack in the head, or if ported ... someone found water
