I bought a 1988 Gt and need some advice. The engine has GT40 upper and lower intake, BBK CAI(fender), Trickflow cam(model unknown), BBK longtubes, no cats, underdrives, BBK adj. fuel regulator, roller rockers, 3.90 gears, 5 speed, stock TB & MAF! Injectors are tan, i believe stock. I plan on upgrading heads and adding some NOS! Should I upgrade to 24lb. injectors or higher?

If you do nitrous, TB, MAF, injectors, and fuel pump need to be upgraded.

you have a stage 1 cam most likely
If you put heads on you need to upgrade meter,tb and injectors(24's)
I'd put a GSS 340 pump in it and that wil ltake care of all your fuel needs
If you are just going to run nitrous just put the gss 340 in. That is the only upgrade needed for nitrous. All of the other parts will help but stock injectors will work just fine. Injectors do not need to be upgraded for nitrous

It has a 255 fuel pump already. I forgot to mention that. Should I go with 24lbs. or is 30lbs. too big?

I'd go 30's too if you put heads on it

30's are not too big, but 24's would be at there limit or close to it, with heads

I am looking at 30lb. ford racing injectors and I see several types. EV1, EV6 etc. Does anyone know what style a 1988 GT 5.0 takes?

EV1 are the normal injectors for a fox ... These have the right body and connector for plug and play.
EV6 are a newer style (faster) injector that bring a lot of benefits, but may not be suitable when you do the "MAF match to injectors" thing typically done with a Fox.
To add confusion, you can get EV6 injectors with EV1 connectors :D

Those EV1 are with jetronic connectors right?

I don't know that term. The only other name I've heard associated with the EV1 connector is Minitimer.
The "EV" designation is sort of new. When there wasn't EV6's and such, they never used the EV1 designation. Go to Summit and look them up by application ;)

Yeah Ill be at PRP the first day. I hope to see you running the car also. You need the EV1 style injectors for your setup. Some guys like to run the EV6's and then you have to get the adapter. 30lb EV1's are all you need.
