NASA put BeaveRun back on the schedule which is good for those of us on the east end of the region. Come on out if you can and see what road racing is all about - there will be plenty of stangs (not all powered by Ford engines hehe). If there is a good turnout it might stay on the schedule.

I am glad to see this post about the NASA event. You need to be a NASA member to participate in the event(not to watch). I think membership is about $40.00. If anyone is interested in participating, I have some "cards" that will provide a free 1 year membership. I am in the Beaver Falls area until after the event. Call me if you are interested(Mark 859-653-7854). If you have never driven on a racetrack, this is a great way to start(HPDE). You will have classroom and on track instruction. If you just want to show up and see what it is about, stop and say hello. I will be driving a silver E36 BMW M3 with MOTORKARS on the side. I paddock with a silver Audi A4. My Cobra is retired from track use but I love to see them on the track. You can check out all the information at http://www.nasaproracing.com/. There is a FAQ about the HPDE program. You can also give me a call if you have any questions. We ussually have a large cookout Saturday nights after the competition.

This seems like a cool event for an SCS cruise to Beaver Cawny just to watch?

On the way home we could make a stop at Jerry's Curb service!

We have not been to BeaveRun for a few years(NASA Great Lakes Region) but I think it is free to watch. Good "car" entertainment Saturday and Sunday.

Glad to see the response on this thread. I look forward to meeting the "SteelCityStangs" group. I can never make any gatherings living down near Cincinnati.

Is spectating free? Did not see that listed.
Good luck to those racing.

Spectating is free - just have to sign the 'if I lose the ability to pee, see or breed waiver' on the way in

Paul,
Good to finally meet someone else from the "Steel City Stangs" community. Sorry we did not have more of a car count Sunday. We used to sell out those events. I think since we have not been there for a few years, people were hesitant. Not the best weekend for me but I already have a new front clip on the way;). I will send you a picture or two of the harness bar from my Cobra ASAP ~ next week.

Mark, it was great to meet you too. I had a good time even with the car count where it was. I was sick in my stomach for you when I realized that was your car. How did the audi end up finishing? Here are some pics I took. I have more but only got to load these thus far...

Let me know when you can on the bar. Thanks!
