Whats a 2.3 NA motor and an auto with 53k miles on it worth?

Depends on the year ... Ed is pretty "right on" as an assembly ...

If it has the right cam / followers you can get $35.00 for them
If it's got round tooth pulleys for the timing they are worth $15-20.00
If it's got coil packs they usually get $20.00
If it's got a dummy drive for the distributor, it along with the auxillaty shaft (as a pair) are worth $20.00 ....

I guess what I'm saying is it's worth more than scrap parted out, but not much. Find someone that needs and A4LD and you can get a little money for the tranny. Timing is everything there too (right person at the right time).
