how is the in cabin noise? any smells? i have heard to run the dumps down and a little angled out to the side of car.
please give opinions...as my pass side tailpipe got bent when i left BP station in carnegie :o and it is vibrating a little against the gas tank shield i think...making some irritating noise so i am going to cut them off and have dumps installed.

You'll save some $$$, I did anyway cause I didn't have to smoke cannibus anymore. I just fired up the 'ole trusty 5-Liter, kept the windows up and made a few WOT passes. Voilla, second hand Sunoco 93 octane.

You stopped smoking the hash, hemp, cannibus, maryjane, marijuana, Bhang, wacky weed, for the smell of a 5 liter? I call :bsflag:

I get more BANG for the buck with the 93. But if the gas goes up anymore, I might have to start a tokin' again.

i have stock headers BBK H pipe no cats and old school american thunder flows turned down. i think car is quiet. soudns deep at idle some say its noticeable but to me its quiet. must be cause imsued to my truck lol
fuels not much at all really, i used to have aot before i put the turndowns on, inside noise is quiet except when in 5th gear and low rpms the console change rattles some

My dad runs dumps on his car and I removed my tail pipes once and ran dumps and I absolutely hated it. Its VERY deep sounding, but I still HATED it. I'm debating on running a single dump when I put my turbo kit on, but my past thoughts on them have me thinking otherwise.
I also think its louder in the car with dumps and louder outside of the car with pipes under throttle, at idle its the opposite.

I cut my tail pipes off and want to install dumps but haven't done it yet. I need to thou because it will start burning my eyes from the fumes. It is worse at night time.

I used to hear Quik's car all the time when I lived in the Rocks and I thought it sounded good from the outside. If my fox had the gt rear valance I would run dumps. I can't really comment on interior noise, but who needs to hear the radio when you got the sweet rumble of a 5.0 to listen to :goodidea:  . As an added bonus it might also drown out the nagging coming from your woman in the passenger seat

When I was living in Morgantown I ran my fox with open headers for a couple weeks and I didn't really think it smelled all that bad. Of course it was a little loud  , but it was only annoying when I tried to talk to whoever was riding with me.

I have dumps on my stang and camaro. If you point them toward each other , it can lower the sound a lil. But mine are both down and a lil out. Only prob I've had is keeping car clean because they kick up dust on the sides. I can smell some fuel, but my car runs rich because of supercharger. I will never have full tail pipes on a car.

The dumps do sound good outside the car. But, inside the car is another matter. They're okay at cruise but, a real pain in the ass at red lights. They resonate under the car & rattle/shake everything, including my old ears.

anyone got a pic of their dumps from under the car? i found tonight my pass side tailpipe has a hole in it and the driver is still rubbing something...so i figure ill run dumps for a little while. might see if sporadic can cut them off and weld me some dumps on.

I could do that.
I don't like dumps tho.
I like knowing my exhaust and noise is exiting behind me. :)
Oh, and fyi I don't have stuff to bend pipe, so your dump sections will already need to be bent.

Sure I can cut em.
I don't have a torch or anything fancy, but an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel goes through exhaust pipe like butter.
(well, ok, I've never used the angle grinder on butter)
I'll be around this weekend.
Just let me know what you want to do.

i made my own. took a 90* bend and cut it to make two nice turndowns. alot cheaper then buying turndowns from summit or etc
20 bucks in 1 90* is cheaper then buying them for 50 and mine are stainless
