Hi everyone. My name is Steve, and my fiancé and I just bought townhouse in Seven Fields (close on May 3). I don’t currently own a Mustang, but had a 93 GT from 01-03:

You can click the link in my s ig for more info on my FQuick page.

I’m actually a GM guy having owned 4 Camaros (89 IROC, 91 Z28, 00 SS, and 01 Z28) and sold my 05 GTO two weeks before we moved here from DC last May. I don’t have anything against Ford’s (just unsure about owning another!). Once our house closes, I’ll be starting a car search. I really want another LSX car (another SS), but I’ve been interested in 01 Bullitt’s ever since they first came out. I’m reminded of them when we visit my fiancés parents in Delmont as their neighbor has a beautiful DHG. Unfortunately, like my problem with the 93, I’m concerned of how awfully slow it will be, even with mods. Of course, Terminators are wicked (I can get C5 Z06 for the same price)… I just don’t know if I can be swayed from the Camaro!

I will also be volunteering at the starlight cruise-in, so I’m sure many of you make it there regularly. Even if I don’t end up with another Mustang, this seems like a great site for locals, and I’ll always be up for a race :D Look forward to browsing. Thanks!

EDIT: I'll add that I was referred here by MinGry03 from SVTP :goodidea:

Thanks for the welcome. Here's a pic of the "Mustang" club my friends and I started back home in State College. The only person who still has a Mustang is the owner of the black vert. He now has a red 2010 GT. Some of you may know his company, UMI Performance. The one in front of it, the "Cobra," was actually a 96 248A with a PI swap and cams. He never really had it running right, and totalled it one day after a car show. The other two just had some bolt ons.

This is probably from 2003...

Welcome. Me and several others from here will be at the church cruises quite often. I'll be there either in my 03 Cobra, or 87 Grand National.

Buy a Terminator you won't be sorry.

I don't understand what the deal is with Seven Fields. It's seriously the size of a dime. It can not be beneficial or financially reasonable to sustain itself as a separate entity. Hell, I've got a Mars zip code.

I know it would be plenty fast, but I love the sound of a cam'd LS1 :D Decisions!

A loud screamin superchager sounds even better. Just my.02... Or the BOV of a turbo.

I've honestly never been drawn to Corvettes. Maybe it's the majority of owners that I do not want to be associated with and their sweet mods like chrome and stickers. I do like the C6 Z06... but too much $$$ for me at this point in my life.

BOV of a turbo on a cam'd LS1... how about that?

I do understand what you're talking about the majority of owners, but not for the reasons you state.... i've not seen very many vettes that have been visually modified with stupid shit .... however, i do agree that the majority of vette owner's do have a bit of a "better than thou" attitude... but o well, its way too good of a car to let a few peckerhead's turn me away from it...

I can tell you from first hand experience (see sig), the BOV isn't the cool sound... its that the whistling/hissing sounds like a jet coming toward you.... then a monster muscle car going away... :D

good luck with your choice :goodidea:

I totally agree with your summation of owning a Corvette. I just don't know...

Nice T/A you had there! That must have been pretty wild!

As for a Cobras, I test drove one back in 2004. It felt heavy and sluggish to me. It was odd as I see the numbers and times people put down, but compared to my SS, it just didn't feel that great. I suppose that's my biggest worry. I also like how planted the Camaros are in the rear. I just remember my GT having such a tail-happy rear. When the Camaros break loose, they tend to not go 180* :D

I suppose if I found a nice Comp Orange or Torch Red (maybe even Sonic Blue...)

How about a BOV of a blower on a FOX making over 520 RWHP and it didnt peak yet? Capable of well over 600. Close to 700 if I spin it.

how bout, dont waste your money, put it into a house so if you sell it you will get more out of it than you put in it.. And be happy..

Or get a fox coupe, put a TT LS7 making over 1000rwhp and all of it under the stock hood. hehe ooops

I'm not gonna lie... that 2011 is appealing. Contrary to popular opinion, I really like the 2010 redesign. I just don't know if I feel like plunking $30k on a toy at the point in my life. Now, $20k on a toy and $10k in mods is a different story :D

I was mostly referring to scott5 suggesting a TT LS7 :D

I've dabbled the thought of a turbo IROC (yes, I said IROC, lol). Not sure I'd do another Fox.
