I really do too! The S197's really are that much nicer of a mustang IMO, pleasure to work on too!

I always thought the 427 denoted 427 HP or real close to it.

I believe they were 435hp but i'm not sure if its wheel or crank hp.

Yeah I think they were suppose to be 427 flywheel HP.

Nice ride and damn good power for a stock car!

IIRC, the 427R name actually comes from Roush paying homage to the 427, 428, and 429 ci engines from back in the day, unlike a lot of their other cars that have been named based on HP. The 2007 models were 427R's, the 2008's are 428R's, the 09's are 429R's, and just to confuse everyone, they're back to the 427R for 2010's

I thought this too but I believe I saw a 08 or 09 that was still a 427r, along with a 428r of the same year. So I was confused. Nice car at any rate!
