I pulled the interior out to replace the floors in an 86 GT i recently bought. After i was done I reinstalled everything, connected all of the plugs the same way and the fuel pump does not work when I turn the switch on. Any ideas?

I downloaded a wiring diagram but haven't had a chance to dig into it yet. Is there a fuse for the fuel pump only?

Thanks for any ideas!

The main thing to check is the fuel pump relay under the driver seat. That is the most likely player although there are grounds too. If it does nothing, start at that relay looking for power.

That is the the green looking thing under the seat, right? It has a bracket that bolts down. Does it need to be grounded? That is plugged in & worked before I took apart. So it should have power in & out, or that realy could have gone bad? I will check it.

Yes, that is the FP realy ... it should click when you turn on the key (as a first step).

Failed FP relays are common on these.

It was a wire that corroded and pulled out of a plug behind the drivers kick panel. They are getting to that age now.
