Hey guys, my mom is getting new wheels 18X9 front and 18X10 rear for her 2001 Bullitt. For tires I was thinking she should go with 255-40-18 up front that have a 26" diameter and 295-35-18's on the rear that have a 26.1" diameter. I know these will fit on the 94-98 style, but I didn't know if it'd have any clearance issues on the 99-up cars. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!

There should be plenty of room, do you have a pic of the wheels your going with?

Everyone on the bullitt forums recommends a 265-35-18 up front, but its only 25.3" tall. I'd think that this wouldn't be good for a number of reasons:
1. It might cause a fit with the ABS due to the almost 1" difference in height.
2. It will ride rougher than the 255 due to the smaller side wall.
3. It may look funny having a 1" shorter tire on the front.

Jared, although the wheels are the same, the rear end spacing and fender clearance are not. That is my concern.

lib88stang- I think she is getting 18" bullitt anthracite wheels. I'm trying to talk her into a set of forged billet wheels though now.

The height difference will not be a problem with the ABS.
The ride quality will be negligable.
You will most likely not be able to see the difference in dia. at all.

Regardless....either tire will work just fine....but being a 9" wide rim I would go with the 265's.

18inch torque Thrusts in grey would be cool, just like the wheels on McQueens car only bigger.

X2, from everyone that has gotten them, they love them and fit very well. They look VERY good too.
