My brother made the top 16 in his red '86 GT :woot1:
Only 281" and on DRs, smallest cubes and only one he saw wearing radials.
Unfortunately he spun on the 16 round race and lost to a slower car :(
For reference he ran 10.28/36/24/42 in the 4 timed runs. Won $550 in gift certificates :highfive:, looks like I'll be gitting a few free Wix filters :goodidea:.
Can't wait to see it on TV, unfortunately I couldn't make it as my wife is due on Monday and there was no one to stay here with her :( .

As I said, pass along my congrats to him, that just freaking awesome! It's really cool for him to get in as an alternate at the "last minute" and make the show.

You all have to see this car, it's a really nice piece. Really well put together and runs great. Was he still on the big wheel radials too? (can't remeber 17 or 18?? I think 17"?) He should be really proud!

I seen him there and talked to him. His car is impressive and that last run was so damn close I couldnt tell who won until I seen the win light. He did a great job and congrats to him again! :goodidea:

Haha, Josh said Willie B was cool but didn't know what a 4.6 was and then couldn't believe it was just 281" :)
Bob, he went back to big/little prostars and some used 275/60 MTs. They are about 28" and the car actually likes the shorter 18"---well at least until he starts launching on the 100 shot or using TB right? ;)

Yes, tree'd and spun. Looking at him come out of the burnout it looked a bit out of the groove. I probably would have caught that or lined him up :( , and I also suggested the 50ho shot instead of the 35 :)
Still cool to see, wish I would have been there.
