Was wondering where would it be best to put my blow off valve. I am mounting the vam blow through in the i.c. to t.b. pipe. Should i put the blow off before the vam, or in between the vam and t.b? Or before the intercooler altogether. Thanks guys.

i would put it before the vam that way it is "reading " only air going into the motor.

The closer to the TB the quicker the BOV reacts as it get the signal on the other side of the throttle plate when the plate closes, But if you have the BOV at the compressor discharge you relieve the pressure at the wheel first is stead of on the other side of the intercooler. I have my BPV at the compressor But the signal takes a little longer to react at the BPV!
I had the BPV at the turbo on my ranger and it worked great
2 valves 1 on each side?

you wouldn't want to blow off metered air so my suggestion would be to put it between the turbo and vam

A few people on TF tried a BOV after the VAM, The AFR goes rich for a instant when the valve opens not a big deal...

Joe Morgan went 10.30 in the pinto with a draw through so i think it works..

yeah plus you dont have to worry about blowing the plastic cover off the vam

Are you running a true BOV or a bypass valve?

With a BPV and blow through, it has to be after the meter as you are measureing the air, then putting it back into the system after the meter too.

With a BOV, it can be before the meter as it wasnt measured yet.

I think a lot of the lean and rich blips are almost inherent to the 2.3 processors, but I'm looking into it more. I have my BPV on the hot outlet right off the compressor outlet, then right back in to the turbo inlet. Works good for me ;)

here is a pic of how a freind of mine did his bypass valve his setup works well http://www.futurexdesign.com/capri/engine/engine-3.jpg

Mine is similar......

But, with what Don is doing with blow through, there is no point to a BPV on that side, and putting the outlet line back into the turbo has no point as the air hasnt been metered yet. You can just as easily blow it off there. Mine is on that side so I didnt have to cross the outlet from the TB side back over to the vam / turbo inlet. (I have a rotated intake).
