..so might as well talk about my winter project. I just ordered a Texas Speed 233/239 .595/.603 cam on a 112 LSA. I also got PAC 1518 Single Beehive Springs and new pushrods. Waiting in my garage I have a pair of LS1 heads ported to LS6 specs by SLP. Car has gone 12.4 in hot air and hitting the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift. I got the shifting worked out today so hopefully I will get to run it again in the next couple of weeks. Thats all for now, I will try to update this thread when I start working on the car. :goodidea:

Those things seem to respond well to cams .. keep the updates coming ... I enjoy build threads almost as much as carnage threads. Vicious circle of build thread, carnage thread, build it better thread, better carnage thread ...

Well the tranny poo'd all over itself so I'm gonna do the Ford Racing rebuild for now and hopefully a T56 swap eventually. I'm gonna take the top end off and re do it cause it was rushed and I'm not confident in the work of others. I also have a pile of suspension parts that need to make there way on to the car(torque boxes, control arms front and rear, pan hard bar, torque arm and sub frames) Still gotta figure out what I'm gonna do for the strut/shock and spring set up. Oh and the expensive part, getting rid of the FMU and getting a tune. Needless to say I'm gonna have a few weekends spent in the garage, feel free to call me if you wanna stop by and lend a hand.:pepper:

I figured some people interpreted me wrong but as Bob said I must have "caught my mullet in the creeper" again haha. I didn't mean to come off as a dick, but you will come to realize this isn't a site that is based on racing, thats all I was trying to say. I am always down to race and I am sure if you Ohio guys come to flashlight drags or whatever then you will have a lane with me anytime. Been racing since I got my license, I do drag racing and auto-x. Unless something comes up I am usually always at Pittsburgh Raceway Park for T-n-T and I plan on participating in the LSX shootout and MIR Imports vs. Domestics this year as long as my car doesn't break.

People that know me will vouch for me, I am far from a dick in person, and I know I came off as one in some of the noob threads. Just like I said you guys will realize this ain't really a place for callouts and whatever have you, more or less just an enthusiast site. Most of the people here don't participate in the BS so I try not to bring it here. But at any rate, enjoy your stay and I can assure you if you guys come our way to race that you will always have a lane with me. :goodidea:

Mike, this site was a racing site started by racers..incase you missed pauls post as well. The racers kinda drifted away mainly cause putting side scoupes and ventshades hardly constitutes a race car. Upgrades like blue couplers and matching blue plug wires doesn't either. For you to give racers a hard time is just wrong. Your finger controlls what you read. I personally don't mind the new stuff and I think 90% of the other members don't either. Now when your more concerned with using a tooth brush to get the wax residue from behind the emblems after the 5th coat or where to hang the pine tree air freashener, then you should be in the section with pics and vids. Personally, I can give 2 shits less if you tinted your tail lights or put billit window buttons inside. Or even if you rattle canned your calipers red. If you don't like it, don't read.

Loud. LOL. It will sound better when its tuned. It idles fairly high right now, until you put it in gear and it stalls haha. I still gotta check for vacuum leaks and other shit like that but I'm just HAPPY it runs and its healthy.

Cammed and untuned auto's are lots of fun to keep running. Good to hear all went well with the install.

I hope she doesn't fall out. I have her buckled in and taped up to the roll bar so she will have a hard time getting out. LOL

I made sure I tightened the bellhousing bolts and trans crossmember bolts last time I had the trans out so I don't think its falling out anytime soon.
