it's always been my philosophy that messing with success messes your success. the 911 is an example of refinement and evolution over time. porsche has maintained it's roots but transitioned nicely with advancements in technology and design. i sure hope history doesn't repeat itself for the mustang in 2014.

next year the 911 is seeing a big redesign as well, funny you mention that. Any guesses on what the big changes are going to be? AWD? bigger? smaller? cheaper? LIGHTER?!!?

edit: no way would they put the ecoboost in to replace the GT. forget I even said that if you read it. That'd be stupid after they spent all of the money to develop the Coyote (which gets good enough MPG)
