Forgive my probably dumb questions. But if I bought a set of 16" 4 bolt silver Pony wheels should I expect them to fit any 87-93 5.0 car (not Cobra)- or did they change backspacing and width at any point... If they're all the same then what should be the width and backspace... I assume aftermarket replica wheels are available, were these made to Ford spec ... If not, then how do I identify a proper Ford wheel ....

I've been looking at a few cars (want 87-93LX) and it seems like 17" Cobra R is on most, I want the 16" Pony's instead. And then what is a fair price for a nice set of 4 Pony's with and without tires ...

Hope this all makes sense ....

1991 what the first year to offer the 16 in wheel on the fox's. There is a difference in fenders. 87-90 have a different part number than the 91 to 93. The actual wheel opening is bigger on the 91 to 93 to compensate for the larger wheel. The inner fender is also made a little different to go with the larger opening. As far as the suspention i have not seen any differences within the years atleast to my knowledge. There are different wheel companies that make the 5 star but some do not have the running horse logo in the center. I sold my cobra r's from my fox to get the 4 lug 2003 cobra wheel that is available through afs or cruizinconcepts which look very nice on the fox cars. Hope that helps some!
