Weisco has a new 351 ci sleeved/stroked 5.0 block. Add a set of cnc ported 5.0 4-valves heads for serious power...

I will guess ERL will charge $2000-2500 to sleeve that thing.
Then you need the K1 stroker crank, rods and pistons.
There is another $2400. Plus the $2000 for the block itself.
For only 351 cubes... No thanks.
Still nice to see a decent NA set up for Fords.

How much would it cost to build your 416 starting from scratch? (no need to include accessories)...T/B to oil pan, and water pump to back of crank

My LS3 is 4.065" bore from the factory for $1450.
The 5.0L block is supposedly $2200 from Ford
Then add least $2000 to sleeve it.
So there is close to 3K more just in the block.

I have ~ $9600 in my 416 complete top to bottom including machine.
Parts only.
A local GTO owner did the longblock assembly for cocaine.

Well who wouldn't assemble an LSX series engine for cocaine?
Engine builder made out like a bandit IMO.
Thanks for sharing the price tag...I've been curious since you made the build thread. Unfortunately most build threads don't include total price which is just as important as the build itself IMO.

Like anything, once the new wears off the price will come down.
I would love to see a new 5.0 make 500rw NA.

I wonder what numbers they will make. I'm pretty sure I heard him say:
"The new Mustang comes with a 440 hp version from the factory. We are gonna go a head and double, triple, and quadruple that."

Right. 436whp/409wtq
-302 c.i.
-Royal Purple oil
-Lethal John Lund tune
-JLT cold air
-A.R. Headers
-X-pipe
JPC/Rich Groh have some ported heads in the works as well as Livernois. Comp cams will be releasing cams around PRI. And that Boss 302 intake don't look too bad. Oh, and don't forget Meziere is working on an electric water pump. Can they get close to 500 whp like that? I know where there is a Yellow Blaze tri-coat 300a. Ah. No h i deees though.

joe i dont think you should pick up a new 5.0 ,it would just be an unfair advantange , imagine what you could do with 4 cams and all those valves and timing events, and 4 gear changes in the quarter ........

4 cams, 32 valves, and a close ratio trans. clearly a disadvantage.
