Another Newb!

I live in southeastern Ohio, Greg W. told me about the site thought I would check it out. I don't own a mustang. but I do have a 1994 Ranger with a small block and nitrous, C-4, and a 9in rear. It is mainly a track vehicle, but I do drive it on the street(from what I've read here and on other sites it is not a street vehicle but hey everyone has their opinions right).

Please re read my comment. I didnt mean it was you who are "calling out" and "wanting to stir things up". Your above comment on characterizing someone on who they are friends with is usually true. So, I call one person out to get a little preseason spark going and now I'm bragging I have a big dick?? Am I getting all this right?? Our local scene sucks, said that weeks ago, told my good friends that like to race about SCS, because no one around here like to race, just talk about it. And we ge tired of racing each other night after night. You guys are less than 3hrs from us and thought maybe it would be a nice change. I called out wick in the off topic section, hell I even texted gmkillr to see if wick would be cool with it, before I ever typed a word. So some of you like to race, but us "newbies" aint allowed to comment about it?? Thats what I built my car for and thats what I like to do, and for the record my car has gone way quicker than 11s.

Mike, just so you know when Lou started this site the core group of guys that initially joined were those of us that had grown to know each other from racing at PRP. Unfortunately a lot are no longer here because they either moved on to different things, grew tired of the lack of race and technical discussions, etc and it has slowly over the years turned into more of an "enthusiasts" forum a you say. Even though that may be the majority of discussion here now, this site started mainly from a group of racers that routinely met and raced at PRP.

Welcome to the OP. A buddy of ours that no longer post here used to have a wicked procharged ranger. If memory serves me right it trapped ~150 too. There used to a be a video of it going around where it blew a coolant or tranny hose and made for a "change of shorts" moment for the driver. I'll see if I still have it.

I didn't come on here saying I wanted to race anybody! All I did was introduce myself, and they jumped on me. With that being said, I will race anyone that wants to. I am not being "cocky" in saying that. I am not saying I can beat every car on this site, I am just saying I will race anyone that wants to race. I do not street race as implied in the other thread, I used to when I was young and dumb but that part of my life is over now. I depend on my license for a living, so I won't street race. If anyone wants to meet at the track I am more than willing to do it.

Thats fine I thought you were generalizing, I just wanted to get my stance out there. The other websites I go on are the same way lots of talk in the winter when nothing can be done, then as soon as spring is here there is always an excuse why they can't make it to the track!

about 2 hrs from pittsburgh GOOD OLD ALTOONA! and we do street race here. but we also feel the same way we are tired of racing each other.we made some trips to latrobe and had some fun and met some cool guys, but to be honest we never went to pittsburgh for a street race. we where to go a couple times but they backed out (they got scared) after they made the call out!

He blew the radiator apart from a bad gasket. The tranny guy was doing burnouts in the truck and hurt the motor.
