Need help! Rear end

Hey, I have a problem. I have an 00 gt with the 8.8 rear and 373. Now I rebuilt it last year and now the oil is leaking out alittle and the pinion has a little too much play in it. Now I just replaced the seal and added a shim. Still has some play. The bearings are good, but I dont think with plain jack stands and no power tools that I can tighten it down enough to eliminate the play in the pinion. But gears arent making any "wrong" noises..so idk. How much do u think this would cost me to just adjust and tighten everything to eliminate this play? Thans
