I just got a totally rebuilt and tuned 2V carb. It seems :goodidea:pretty easy to install. Does anyone have any tips or sugestions when I install it? Thanks.

its been awhile since i had my 69 coupe, 302 with a 2v.
just make sure when the carb is one the car, make sure u get the right air/fuel mixture. mine was just a little srew on each side towards the bottom that you had to slowly turn while it was in idle. The trick i remember was to turn the screw slowly (clockwise or counter, im not sure) but one way you will start to hear the car idle lower, once it does, (idle lowers) stop turning it that way and turn it till the idle sounds "healthy" (usually a little farther than it was before) Do that for each side.

basically those two little screws will make a world of diffirence in how your car runs.:goodidea:

hope this helps

now as i look at your question, installation is pretty simple. just make sure the mating surfaces are completely clean and that the gaskets are new. make the bolts very tight (dont break one like i did tho) I imageine your 2v is on a 289 i assume, its very similar to my 302. the connections should be simple

let me know if you have any more questions

Thanks for all of the advice. This doesn't sound too bad.
