x or h pipe

Is there any real difference in performance between the x and y pipes? Any benefit to either? Just curious..

People will say yes but there has been a lot of testing and it seems that the sounds between each is the largest difference. I am of the thought that if the x is placed properly it can gain a couple hp more and if it's placed in the wrong spot can rob just as much power. YMMV

Agreed, you may get a couple extra HP out of an X pipe, but is it worth the expense? An H pipe is fine for a street/strip application.

What expense? There is not a big price difference between X and H pipes. My X pipe was like $100. The main difference is just the sound IMO.
