hi guys i've been throwing around the idea of mildly building my 91 gt here are some of the things i've been thinking about doing
1.rebuilding the engine new rings bearing gaskets ect.
2.going with an e303 cam stock heads and cobra upper/lower
3.set of 4.10 gears ( have a stock aod not sure how that will work out)
4.#24lb injectors and matching maf
just wondering what you guys thinks i don't have a race car and it wont be seeing the track it's a street car just want to increase power and low end torque for tearin up the streets thanks everyone:stang2:

You dont need the 24# injectors at that power level.

I think the 24# isn't a bad idea if you're buying a meter.
Don't put any money into the stock heads, not worth it with the Alum. stuff out there affordable.
What about finding a lower-mile 5.0 from the last 302 Explorers/Mountaineers, you get GT40 heads/Cobra like intake?

I liked the AOD and 4:10's when I ran them. If you have plans on converting to a 5 speed down the road though, I'd go with a 3:55 or 3:73 instead.
If you're keeping the E7 heads I'd stay with 19# injectors but ditch the old OE injectors and pick up a set of the Bosch Design III 19's. They're all over Ebay for $100 and under.

Try to get an OE Cobra intake or an Explorer as the newer FRPP China made Cobra intakes have had some quality problems.

will my stock plumbing and fuel rails work with the explorer or cobra intakes also someone told me that if i go with the e303 cam i would need to change the valve springs to prevent collapsing a valve not sure how true this is either

here is what a guy told me from another mustang site it sounds like what bimini said about the gt40 heads/intake i'm not sure about the 94-95 maf though
If you haven't bought any parts yet don't. Do yourself a favor and get an explorer top end. It has the same heads/intake as a cobra and it comes with a 65mm tb. Use your 19lb injectors and get a 94-95gt maf. Unless you already have the e cam laying around don't waste your time. The stock cam is a great piece, but if you want a good budget oriented ots cam the tfs1 is at the top of the list. Either way you have no business replacing the cam if you haven't upgraded the heads yet. The combo I just listed I have personally pieced together for less than 500 dollars and will give a solid 30-40hp more than what you have listed.

Basically the same combo-cam (I had P's, explorer intake, and an AFM N41 cam) went 12.40s on drag radials in my 86GT. Good combo. I would spring for a better mass air sensor, but just my opinion. Seeing that restriction in the intake tract just makes my head hurt.
