Every place I call, seems no one stocks Royal Purple anything. I need a few quarts of Synchromax and 75-90 by the weekend? Anyone know where to get this stuff in Pittsburgh?? :dunno:

We used to buy it all the time from Napa. They never had it in stock, but they could get it within an hour or so.

Most of the bigger NAPA stores should stock some of it, and can usually order SOME of it.

I have yet to find a place to buy in bulk :(

Pep Boys in robinson stocks it.

+1 I would call ahead though. They usually don't have much of it. I was going to get some synchromax when I refilled my tranny, but they had one bottle of it which obviously did me no good. I got the penzoil stuff instead, I heard it's the exact same thing as the GM synchromesh just in a different bottle :goodidea:

I found a place locally, B & R Speed. Doesn't stock it but can get it in a day. Reasonable prices, something like $8 a quart for Synchromax and $9 a quart for 75w90.
Thanx all for the info!

I picked up my order at B & R Speed today. $60 for trans/rear oil. :wedgie:
I did get 6 quarts total so I guess it's not THAT bad.
Nice older guy. Seemed to have anything and everything hanging on the walls for the '80s and '90 cars. Didn't get the impression he was all that into Modular stuff, or F.I. for that matter. He mentioned something called a "karbirater" :rotflol: , what's that??? lol

He seemed like a very nice guy. Very laid back. Sounded like he knew alot about the older cars with "carburetors";)
