I just read an article about this place in the newspaper. Never knew it existed. http://gtmalan.com/

Headquarters is in East McKeesport, PA. Anybody know about them?

That's up 30 from where I live. Looks like the guy builds Factory Five GTM kit cars, scartches their name out and writes his on.

I think I'm gonna e-mail Factory Five about that.

I've seen them in person and you're dead-on. I don't think they really try to hide that they are Factory Five kits, though.

They a brought a pair to Beaverun for the vintage grand prix. There was an orange one that looked like a race-prepped version wearing Hoosiers and then a few guys did some some "exhibition" autox runs in a street version.

Here are some good action shots that someone took:

Even with some decent drivers behind the wheel, there were quite a few smokey spin-outs

Yeah I just found out about that company yesterday. Pretty gay if you ask me. Take a FFR GTM kit car, rename it, and sell it as your own supercar.

Brooks stage III suspension?

Anyone ever hear of this before? Guy installs a bunch of susp parts from another manufacturer (MM/KB/etc) and calls it his "Brooks Stage (X) Suspension"...i think they're located near central PA.

Lame.

Kudos to Factory Five:

Thanks for the concern. We are aware that Alan Autosports re-labels our
GTMs and sells them under another name.

I happen to think our GTMs look way better than what they do anyhow. :)

Take care,

One of these cars were at the Wexford carshow last year. Cool stuff.

Yeah, a buddy of mine drove one at the Vintage Grand Prix last year, and I tried to see if they possibly wanted one to be hillclimbed for publicity, got a no. The orange one was featured on "Supercars" as well.

I'm suprised not many have heard of these. I thought it was pretty cool seeing Tanner Foust beat on one in Battle of the Supercars on Speed after watching them run them this summer at beaver run
YouTube - Battle Of The SuperCars - GT Malan vs Gumpert Apollo.wmv
Tanner was alot better of a driver
