I just wanted to let you all know that there is an autocross at the Greensburg-Jeanette airport near Delmont this Sunday. I plan to be there unless it rains. This will be my first time out in the Z06 and since I'll be on stock street tires it should be interesting. LOL!

As long as everything goes according to plan, I'll be there. I live about 25 minutes away compared to the hour+ it takes for me to get to any of the other events so I'm pretty excited that AH has moved to the airport.

Pretty anxious to see how things work with AH since I've only been to SCR and NHSCC events, so far. Hopefully the increased space compared to somewhere like the pool parking lot will be a nice change for the old mustang to stretch her legs a bit.

Just hope your stock tires are a little better than the ones on this c5z!!YouTube - Corvette Comparison Test - 2011 Z06 Carbon vs. 2010 Grand Sport vs. 2002 Z06

I am about 50/50 on coming out to this one. Pretty much dependent on how the weather holds up. Any ideas on the course design yet?

PeeJ20- This will only be the second event ever held at this airport, but if it is anything like the first one I can tell you it will probably ruin you from wanting to ever run in a normal lot again. Airport events generally speaking are much faster and open than a lot just due to layout and possible course design. Greensburg airport is a bit limited as it is only 1 runway and it is kind of narrow, but it was still a fast course last year. I had more fun there than I do even at Cumberland which is notorious for being extremely fast since they are not SCCA sanctioned.

Chris- man I hope so, but from the limited seat time I have already had with car I fear I will be in the same boat. Sunday I almost looped the car on a quick 2-3 shift at 70mph when it completely blew the tires off and sent me immediately toward the guardrail. it was a definite pucker moment.

Mark, accuweather shows the weather to look promising at this point for Sunday with 60* temps and partly sunny.

Just made a thread on RacePa. Go over there and plug away, no conflicting events as far as I know this weekend.

I don't think so.

I have my stuff all packed up in the car. Just hoping it doesn't rain too much more tonight and things actually dry out by tomorrow morning :ohno:

Thanks Mark, it was cool talking to you today. Nice job with your times:goodidea:

Paul, sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself but the 'vette definitely looked badass... especially sliding the rear-end around in those slaloms!
