So my gf's mom has a 2007 cali special stang with only about 1600 miles on it.
just recently its been having a problem. when you turn the car off, get out and shut the door, the driver side window rolls down automatically. keys are out of the ignition and the window goes up and down fine when car is on.
so what's the deal here? never seen this before. and car has almost no miles on it??

I know when you open the door the window slides down a little so maybe whatever controls that is messed up.

The short drop function is built into the "smart" p/w motor, the short drop is when the door is opened and the window goes down slightly, the p/w motor monitors and is activated by the door ajar switch. The one touch up/down function is built into the p/w switch. The two components I would suspect would be either the p/w switch or the motor. If the concern can be duplicated on a regular basis, I would disconnect the driver p/w switch and see if it still does it. If it does, I would suspect the p/w motor, if the concern is eliminated I would suspect the p/w switch. Hope this helps :awsome:

There is a way to reset this, look in the manual. I think you turn the key on and hold the button in the up position but I'm not sure.

Try this.
1 - While the window is in motion, either up or down, disconnect the battery or pull the fuse. I think it is easier to diconnect the battery. It is important that the window is in motion while losing power.
2 - Wait 1 minute and reconnect the battery cable. After the cable is secured to battery post, push or pull both window buttons so that the windows go all the way up and then all the way down. You will hear a little click (usually) when it is almost to the top. This will relearn the window module. Done.

The p/w could bounce back due to needing reinitializing :awsome:
Guess I kinda over analized it
