A couple of documentaries - especially The World According to Monsanto and Food Inc really woke me up. I am by no means at all any part of the left. This is not a left/right issue, but more of a government/corporate corruption issue. In Europe they are REQUIRED to label GMO foods. Here, there is no such requirement, legislation to invoke labeling is shot down due to the big-agri lobby. Unfortunately, the majority of the public is more concerned with dancing with the stars, american idol, and the 'royal wedding'.

When people do wake up and realize how bad things are they go away quickly. Look at what happen to the rBGH milk once people started realizing what it was - it disappeared.

I would not call someone a leftist because they are concerned with what they put into their body.
