For those that know me, i'm an avid golfer... at the end of last year, i was a 5.8 handicap, so i am usually able to hold my own once i get comfortable with my swing in the spring... i don't ever do any hitting during the winter....
In the past, i had lipped the cup 3 different times, coming ever so close to a hole in one.... UNTIL TODAY!!!
I was in a tournament at Quicksilver Golf Club... hole #11, playing 142 yards up-hill today... got my hole-in-one with a 9-iron!!
So huge - i was stunned... i just looked back and my playing partners had a stunned look on their face.... and then we all started cheering...
:highfive:

Congrats I know how you feel nothing better than a 1 on a scorecard. They didn't have a side skins game goin on by any chance?

nah, no skins game....
Worst part is, i totally forgot to go get my scorecard again.... they had to tally up all the scorecards, and i forgot to go get mine after they were all done.... o well, i'll just have to fill another one out again... plus, they're going to call the local newspapers, so i guess that'll be better proof than anything...

Oh dear... I'm playing golf for the first time ever next week with Bish. I hope I don't get addicted.
This guy gets a hole in one and I've never swung a golf club before, should be interesting, lol:rotflol:

congrats on the ace....I've been 1" away before...so close..yet so far
My boss just aced #5 at southpointe last week, and then this past friday I was talking with a coworker and he actually aced a par 3 during a work outing and won a car! What are the chances. Too bad it was a lame buick century...
And wedding in two weeks or not...you definately should've bought a round of drinks afterward...that's the deal.

that's crazy as hell.... i've been in multiple outings where they had a $10K prize for hitting a hole in one, but it was always at the one par 3 at Birdsfoot, which is like 215 yrds or something, so its a HUGE long shot...

Congrats Bish, welcome to the club!
I wish mine was longer 112yds over a ravine with a wedge, cool thing was it backed in from about 12 feet. Partner didn't even see it dropped until I started yelling.

I've lipped out ( in 6th grade - #11 132 yards - at the old Montour Country Club ) and had a bunch of tap-ins...and eagled par 4's before but no ace for me yet. Someday I hope to join the hole-in-one club!
Congrats again on the ace!!
