Truth or Dare - flywheel balanced to the pulley??? BS???

So I asked my ex-father-in-law about buying a new flywheel or getting mine re-surfaced. (he likes me still...:goodidea:) He's a pretty good car guy and knows his shit but I'm calling the bullshit card out on this one.

He says that Ford motors have the flywheel and front pulley balanced so I should just get it re-surfaced instead of buying a new one. Let's hear the masses!!!

He probably means that the balancer (not front pulley) and flywheel are external balananced on SBFs and need to be matched. Pulley mounts to balancer, and is not balanced.
