Havent seen The Car Show. Top Gear US was terrible. I love watching Top Gear on the BBC everynight. Those guys crack me up. The Stig introductions get me everytime.

I really wanted to be good but it crossed me as sports center for cars. Lame segments just like top gear USA. They really need to do something different. Not many of us can swing a bentley so why do I give a crap about one. IDK the top gear format just does not seem to work here in the USA.

The reason Top Gear format does not work in the US is simple. Over there they can say anything about a car maker and not worry about the company pulling there cars from the show. This is because the BBC is in control. Over here if they bash a Vette, Chevy would pull there car and money to the show. Plus the three idiots that hosted the US version were trying to be like the British show and they simply were not funny and didn't know anything about cars. Jeremy Clarkson on the British show has been a auto columnist and host of car shows since long before I was born. But done quote me on any of that. haha

Your quite right.. Top gear started in the 70's as I recall so yeah they have had lots of time to make the show into what it is. Here in the US they have only a few shows to get it right or they get squashed. Truth is a Benz and bentley don't speak to the US viewers. GTO's and Mustangs do(and others) until they find a way to connect to the majority of the viewers it not going to work. I wish they would let real car guys have a show, they need to be funny but car guys first.

I agree with you. I saw a few, one where they maxed out some Lambos and one where they wheeled some trucks through Alaska. The guy that looks like Chachi got under my skin so bad. He knew nothing about cars, and the fat guy was trying to hard. And they obvoiusly found a short guy to be like Hammond on the British version.

Its a shame, if they would of done it right I think it could have been a cool US show. Its two differnt markets. Over there its not out of the norm to see supercars cruiseing around.

I already think Adam Corolla is the most annoying "comedian" available. It took about 5 minutes of his stupid humor and terrible delivery to reaffirm that for me and make me turn the show off..

I agree 100%. Pretty much all on the Celebrity Roast I cant stand. I don't like the nasty, racist, sex filled humor.
