hey guys im becoming more accustomed to the money from my two jobs and im thinking it may be about time to start looking into a few add on parts for my mustang.

mustang in question is a 95 3.8 with a 00 3.8 swap. body is pretty mint and the interior is mint. im mostly looking for external stuf at this point.

list as im thinking right now.

mac pro dumps for a 94-95 gt
suspension for a 95 v6,springs,insolators,all of that and sway bars aswell.
if anyone would happen to have some pretty good 235-45-17 in tires i need two for the rear of my stang.
maybe a used mgw shifter for a t5 trans?

thats all i can think of at the moment. im sure more will arise as i dig into this car its been sitting for a few yrs.

I would almost guarantee they sound awful on a V6.

They sound mean from outside the car and away from the car, but inside they will drive you nuts, at least for me. But then again my mufflers suck anyway because they don't really do any muffling or quieting.

i see. i ran onto a good price on them and having heard them on a v8 i figured they couldnt be too bad on a 6. but i may have to rethink the situation.

Your v6 will sound nothing like the v8s due to the different firing order. it will sound especially different at WOT (not good). You want a chambered muffler, and tailpipes out the back and also with cats if you dont want it to sound like a turd. :awsome:

Oh and the Mac mufflers are a chambered muffler so that's not a bad start, but you probably would really want tailpipes. Dumps are for racecars ;)

thanks for the advice. i picked up an h pipe for it already thinking thats what i wanted to do. so cats arent an option really unless i want to keep the old setup. any other suggestions for a kit for ti that would sound good. ive looked at the jegs piece together kit its like 2 something on their website.

i got a question for you guys now. i have been looking at hotchkis sway bays and they dont list them for the v6 but from 94-04 they are listed for the gt and cobra. do these fit a v6 anyone know?

btw im not looking to build the best suspension on the planet right now just something a little firmer that wont break the bank. if gt fits v6 then ill go with stock or slightly better sway bars as i think my rear one may be broken or worn badly.

They should fit. I'm running a GT takeoff rear sway bar on my car. There isn't really any difference between any of the suspension stuff for gt's and v6 unless you're talking springs.

97laserred im not sure what to offer you for it plus it would have to be shipped and thats probably pretty pricey. so gimme an idea of what you would need.

next question since it was said and ive searched it a little. whats the benefits or drawbacks to running gt springs on a v6?

GT springs have a higher spring rate since the GT is heavier. Put them on a v6 and your car will probably actually sit a little bit higher. Unless they're lowering springs, then the drop just won't be as much.

And you heard my car with longtubes and flowmaster 40s....run anything straight through and your car will sound raspy like mine does above 3 grand....all the time. haha.
I know a guy running some kind of magnaflow straight through mufflers on his six with longtubes and they sound terrible.
Pissed off lawnmower probably describes it.

I agree with this 100%.... my car is the same way... has a dump, and from outside it sounds mean, but from inside it just sounds like an enormous exhaust leak... lol

my mufflers don't look like those ones though ^^

I actually took my car to 1st-try last night, Jeff is welding my old exhaust back up.

The exhaust that I was talking about:

Now it will have my old exhaust on which was a Pacesetter catless y-pipe with one slp LM2 on it, back to tailpipes. I miss that set up. Quiet at idle and crusing, super quiet in the car, but loud when you step into it.
