1. Thanks everyone! :awsome: The amazing thing is that I was supposed to be a Q4 built (i.e. October - December arrival). Imagine my surprise when I found out last week it was due in this week.

2. I believe Ford is going to produce a total of 4,000 Boss 302's in 2012 and 2013 (2,000 each year = 1750 Boss, 250 Laguna Seca).

3. I definitely will check out / attend the Wexford car cruise.

Well they already made 4000 Boss Mustangs for 2012, 750 were Laguna Seca.

Ford had made estimates of 5-6,000 standard Boss Mustangs for 2013, and 1000 Laguna Seca.

When the press release went out around 2004/5 that the Shelby was returning, Ford claimed they were ONLY going to make 2500 for 3 years for a total of 7500. When the interest went through the roof, Ford axed that and started making as many as they could sell. I have a hard time believing any modern day advertised collector car will actually end up to be just that... a "collectors car".

You may not remember me, but you put 4.10's in my red 06 GT (really clean, low miles) back in 07-ish when you were in the process of moving to your "new" shop (we rode out to your "old" shop in your truck on a Saturday morning).

The GT ran great afterwards and the 4.10's really made a difference! :awsome:

Was going to to keep the GT "forever" (until the BOSS came out)!

Removed the side exhaust restrictor plates this evening. Straight pipes now.

The 2012 / 13 Boss' come with a "quad" exhaust. See attached photo of a failed parallel parking attempt with a pre-production prototype :p

The exhaust that exits the rear is typical with standard Ford mufflers (they sound ok). The side exhaust exits just in front of the rear wheels.

From the factory (presumably to meet noise requirements), Ford installed the above restrictor plates in the area that I highlighted in yellow in the below photo. The factory plates have a 1/4" hole and you really can't hear much from the side exhausts with these installed.

Three bolts each side and about 15 minutes total, the plates can be removed for "open" side pipes.

Unfortunately, I don't have any stock (i.e. plates with 1/4" hole) video / audio since I took them out.

See attached link on another forum where another Boss owner has various videos with different size aftermarket plates in (1/2" hole, 3/4", etc.) and no plates at all.

I actually bought a set of 1/2" and 3/4" plates when I was waiting for my car to come in, but I'm not sure I'll use these unless I get tired of the open pipe sound :D

On the BOSS there is no:

- Nav

- Ford Synch (or whatever it's called)

- spare tire

- power seats

- Home link / garage door gizmo

- auto rearview mirror thingie

- multiple CD / speaker / amp setup (just a single CD / radio...not sure how many speakers as I have yet to turn the radio on:p)

- no dual / automatic climate control what-cha-call-it

- no fog lights

- no HID's

- heated seats

- Sat radio

- etc...:veryhappy:
