Just wondering what everyones answer will be. Ive had to work on some real PITA cars before...one of the worst prolly just cuz of the sheer tiny room to fit myself in was a late 80's jas xjs vert. Such a huge car for being a 2dr but the interior ir cramped as hell and i had to take half of the interior apart.
Buddy of mine is doing a clutch in a John Works edition mini cooper S...12 hours to R&R the clutch lol. So what ya got guys?

I am not a tech nor do I work on cars much, but my girlfriend's Hyundai Tiburon has given me the most grief. Seems like nothing is easy to replace on that car.

I used to work at a hyundai dealer lol...yeah they can be a pain. Sometimes comical...we needed a full srs equipped seat once for a tib...the tech line told us to go to a bmw dealer and get one for a m3 cuz they were they same frame and setup just use our old cushoins and leather covers lol. The OEM tib seats were on like a 6 month backorder.

Yep. I was changing the oil in my wife's Ford Edge, which was very easy, and wondered, "How the hell am I going to get to the rear spark plugs when they need changed?" Hopefully they will last until trade in time.

firewall-side spark plugs on 03 taurus suck to get at.
swapping an engine in an 02 explorer sucks the big nuts. motor mounts are shitty design and hard to line up. numerous other stuff is hard to reach.
I honestly believe that a fox mustang is the absolute easiest car to work on in the history of automobiles. I have yet to work on a car that is easier (not that I've worked one many different cars because I havent...just saying...)

We get old Jags at work. PITA all of them. I hate them. We do alot of Audi timing belts and water pumps. They are time consuming, but not too bad to do. Rusty brake and fuel lines pretty much suck on most cars. I think my all time worst was a 2 year old (at the time) Eldorado hit in the front so hard the valve cover was under the dash. I was a mechanic at a body shop at the time. I had to remove the entire suspension and drivetrain, the dash, the heater assembly, interior, fix everything that was broken, repair a ton of wiring, and put it all back together 2 months later when all the body work was finally done. I also put a frame under a T10 blazer. That job went better than I expected. Speaking of T10 Blazers the motor mounts on those are no fun either.

Easiest car I ever worked on was my 82 BMW 320 while I was in Germany, it was so easy a caveman could do it. Hardest is my Cobra.
At work the most ignorant POS's that ever floated on a boat to US shores were made by Komat'su... I'd be in favor of another bombing of Japan if I could...

I had a 1992 Dodge Shadow 3.0 V6. In order to drop the transmission I had to drain the coolant because the geniuses who designed it ran a hard coolant line across the transmission.
They had enough room to move it up 1" but nooo....
Also getting the dang transmission splines lined back up was terrible because it had 1 large notch in the shaft that had to be lined up perfectly - blindly!

1994 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I had to work on that turd every other week. Every little thing was a weekend project.
Should've changed their slogan from, "Wake up and drive." to "Wake up and work on your car."

For some reason me and a tech were talking about this earlier today, saying how they were a pain in the ass and always break. funny you say that. :sticktonge:
I've not worked on too many, but one I've worked on the most was this turd blazer of mine. Can't wait to junk it at the end of the month!

I agree with the above that LT1/LS1 firebirds/camaro's are a total pain to work on... with 1/2 the engine under the dash, just seems like hell to have to do the most simple things...
I never had to work on my F150 or my Lexus (*knock on wood*) or my 'Vette, so i like 'em... :)
And truthfully, even though a timing belt change is a total PITA i'm sure, this little Acura i have seems like it would be a total cake-walk to work on... easiest oil-change in the history of cars, and there's TONS of room under the hood, with an ITTY BITTY engine in there... just seems empty compared to what i'm used to...

I'd say every thing I've ever worked on is somewhat of a pain depending on how you look at it. It's like the guys doing the design don't talk to the guys that are doing the work. Talk about lack of communication. There have been times where I would love to hold a engineer at gun point and say now you take it apart.

i only seem to have problems with my own shit, everythings always much easier when you're getting paid for it :pinkthumb:
that said, i'm surprised nobody said saab yet, and the audi A8L, oh, and who doesn't love doing intake gaskets on the Astro/Safari without compromising the ac.. the list goes on, who said pretty much everything?? :biglaugh:

Hahaha. Such a POS car. It ate the alt four times in a year. Couldn't figure out why, so I sold it about 3-4 years ago.
First change took about 3 hours, and the fourth still took about 2. What a POS.

I think this is the car, but I'm not sure. Looks really close and has some of the same mods. LOL at it having a new alt.

My wife's Grandfather's Dodge Stratus is a mid 1990's model. To change the battery, you have to jack up the car, pull the passenger front wheel, and remove the damn inner fender. No sh!t. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Based on that alone, I'm guessing that the Dodge designers made a bunch of other things on that car a PITA to work on...
Oh - now we don't have to worry about that car. About a month ago Grandpa came home from the store, parked the car out front, and went inside. 30 minutes later, the cops and fire dept were there, putting out the flaming carcass. The old girl has gone to a better place...

I gotta say 1g DSMs (90-94 like mentioned) are retardedly easy to work on if you know just a little of what you're doing. They are sadly always hack and owned by dumb young kids. My only real complaint would be brake caliper bolts and random other shitty hardware that likes to snap (like bumper bolts). They are hands down the easiest way to hit high 12s/low 13s with like $200 and a die grinder.
(Ive had like 7 so I'm biased lol)
Worst would have to be early 90s GM packaging nightmares... My old LT1 wasn't really THAT bad, the run of the mill cars were just awful. Ford transmissions and their stupid one piece trans/bellhousing piss me off more. My old 94 Probe Ford/Mazda abortion was about next to awful.
My last cobra was a total whore to drop the trans in....directly due to the suspension. Just to get started on the driveshaft you have to drop the exhaust, panhard assembly, tq arm and mount....ugh lol. Very fun but last road racey mustang I ever own.
Pretty much everything has it's quirks I guess. Better do my plugs on my new S197 here before I have an issue lol...28k on it now

VW GTi for sure every part has that extra clip or bolt and everything takes a special tool and still doesnt want to come out. But yea the tiburons are retarded too.

Anything on any Volkswagen. Glowplugs on any powerstroke superduty. And the brake caliper adjusters. Seems like any time you do work on them they are seized in place
