^LOL!

I think this may be it: http://www.motortrend.com/future/future_vehicles/1110_2015_ford_mustang_what_to_expect/

biggest thing is independent rear suspension (wouldn't mind actually but there will always be a place in my heart for the live axle ), talks of reviving the SVO with a 4cyl EcoBoost (score!), and lightening it up a bit.

At the end of the article, Jack Telnack says that AWD should be an option. HA! GTFO of here with that crap! never in a stang!

Lighter... IRS... A little smaller... Just as powerful engines wtf is the problem? Sounds great to me if they don't screw up the look.

Start bitchin about no live axle now and maybe they will offer both. It worked before. Live axle aside I am just happy it's going to be offered with a V8 still. You just never know what the car companies are going to do next.

Yes sorry for the delay all. Here is the link.

http://www.motortrend.com/future/future_vehicles/1110_2015_ford_mustang_what_to_expect/

this is the link to the same article in my magazine. Yes the IRS again really? And I personally think getting futher away from teh retro look is a mistake. I mean personally I think the 05-09 cars look the best like the original. THe 10-11 fronts are cool but I think the ass is ugly. But of couse that's my opinion. But as far as the retro thing goes that's what made them sell a ton of them. I don't know at least they kept the 5.0.

I dont know about the AWD crap, i think they should leave that portion alone.
I remember people squealing high compression in the 5.0 and how it was a mistake and boost wouldnt be good. I also remember reading bolt ons wouldnt show any power gains blah blah blah. So im not scared of IRS assuming its built right.

to me the 10-12 cars were a large improvement in styling over the 05-10 cars but thats obvious because i bought one. so i think they are headed in the right direction.

I really don't care for the looks of the 05-09's... I'm not 70 years old so the whole retro thing does nothing for me.

i agree with you.... but, the '10+ car are pretty good looking..

The 10-12 is a definite upgrade in looks over the 05-09 imo. The rumormill states the standard GT will be getting the current Boss "Roadrunner" platform motor, so 440hp with forged guts.

Not bad for the entry level V8 offering if it becomes true.

It owuldn't be bad for the base car...except everything costs money.

I'm not 70 either I just have always like the look of the early 60's muscle cars. To many car shows I guess. And I do like the 10+ front and the interior upgrades were very nice. I'm still not sold on the rear. And they have and others Dodge & Chevrolet made alot of money on the "RETRO" theme. I just don't want to see Ford turn the Mustang into a BMW enen though it's already being priced like one.

I've always had the feeling of "if I want a car that looks like an old car, I'll buy the actual old car."

I feel like all these retro designs seem good on paper or on a blueprint, but then they get so watered down it doesn't have the same effect as the original did.

For instance, I loved how the SN95 and New Edge cars drew from "signature" marks of the car, but they didn't mimic the whole thing. They had their own identity while keeping the tradition. I feel like the Fox Body got a little far away from the original style and the SN brought it back.

+1 this retro thing is pissing me off. because soon the retro will be to make another fox body.. they going to revive it's twin, the escort. I know a lot of folks love those cars but i have seen like 5 that are good looking cars, most just are not appealing to me.

styling cues to keep things nostalgic is cool but to make it look like an old car any more is ridiculous.

Well the 2013-2014 is just a refresh, using the GT500 front clip and a revised rear for the GT/Boss. 2013-2014 GT500 will have a new front clip to account for the larger intercooler and a bigger hood for the TVS and 5.8L.

The 2015 according to Ford will be a totally new design (not retro) pushing the Mustang forward. It will still use it's standard design distinguishments that you've seen in most generations though.

This is exactly what they are doing....Just keeping with the styling cues (which have been with the stang since its first apperance for the most part). Things like the three tail lights, long hood, fog lights, 2 doors, always a v8 option (except in the 74 mustang II but they dont count! ha!). They are just styling cues so you know its a mustang.

You guys all bitch like you want them to make something that looks like the taurus and badge it as a mustang. It keeps styling cues for a reason.

If it went "too" retro like a lot of you are complaining about, it would be a MUCH lighter car, with less technology, less powerful engine, less refined, and a lot less cheaper money-wise.

IMO the 2010-2012 mustangs are very close to being the best looking stangs ever made so far (other stangs on the same level of great looks as the newest ones are the 66 fastbacks and 69 boss mustangs. Also the new edge stangs always look badass when done right. see: terminator).

and guys - everything so far is just speculation. Ford never announced anything. So stop saying "They are absolutely using a GT500 front clip" and "They are putting the boss engine in the regular GT now"

NO, they are not. Because they never announced anything.

Umm.. the GT500 front clip is pretty much a done deal, Ford has been bringing their 2013 lineup to top tier dealers across the country for over a month now. Two of the cars in said lineup have been a '13 GT and a '13 Boss.

The Boss has Sync and Power Seats for the year lineup. Both cars are running a GT500 front clip.

We know for fact the 5.0 will remain in the redesigned Mustang, Ford is not going to abandoned that technology with only a short 4 year run. Production Engineers at Ford have went on the record of stating they are looking forward at ramping up the Roadrunner program for the new '15 redesign.

Now whether that means the Boss is no longer limited production, more specialty V8 Mustangs or the GT gets the Forged Boss engine. The other flipside of the coin is direct injection as the Coyote was originally designed for it and Ford left head room in there for it.

Its not even 2012 yet and you are telling me that Ford is sending 2013 mustangs to dealers already!?! are you drunk? If not, proof please....

I never said they would abandon the new 5.0? And "ramping up the Roadrunner program" could just mean making the Boss even more powerful while remaining limited production

You do realize, Job 1 for the 2013 Mustang is January 2012 right?

2012 Mustangs have been sitting on dealer lots since March 2011 when production started back in December 2010 (yes for 2012s)

You cannot purchase a 2013 but Ford has been showing off the new 2013 lineup at select dealers for a few months now.

I am going to put good money come mid November under the official unveil, you will see a GT and a Boss using the 2010-2012 GT500 front clip.

Got one more link, one second

1.) you do realize its NOT Jan. 2012 yet, therefore no 2013 production mustangs are produced yet so wtf does your first sentence mean/prove?

2.) The first link shows the LCD gauge mode? so what? Im talking about styling, not features.

3.) The second link is some RANDOM ASS GUY - that could be anybody because well, it is the internet after all - who claims he saw the 2013 mustang but got no pics? Even if he did, he may have not seen the final production version

and: "You cannot purchase a 2013 but Ford has been showing off the new 2013 lineup at select dealers for a few months now" What dealers? Please let me know, because I would love to go see one ASAP!

You do realize Ford (and many other manufacturers) produces the demonstrators many many months prior to production right? This is done to gain initial opinion in case if they need to retool the production line due to overwhelming negative feedback found from shows and dealers.

Theyre showing them to "some" dealers for product training, theyre not showing them off to the public.

One thing Ford is very bad at, and that is keeping a secret.

2013 Mustang GT sitting under wraps at the LA auto show... hmm that front end looks different so does the rear from what I can make of it. Granted this is just a promo photo, but its fun to speculate.
