Questions about...

...the piece of insulation on the underside of the hood! From the factory my Stang was undercoated n some got on it and mine has always look't like a mess. I tried cleanin it numerous times with it still lookin like crrap! I was wanderin if theirs any special way to clean it? Would yunz suggest takin it off all together, will the paint on the out side peel?? If anyone has a new lookin one they'd like to get rid of I'd be interested on grabbin it up, it be for the 99'-04's?! Lemme know whats up n what yunz think!? Thanx guyz, I appreciate it!

I took mine off my 95 and all aftermarket hoods dont have it and my trans am didnt so i dont see it hurting by taking it off

Don;t destroy it taking it off .... i've seen the paint under some of those new edge cars look like crap after the pad was off ... Have a look before doing anything you cant undo ;)

It won't hurt anything to take it off, but realize that ford usually didn't paint the whole underside of the hood. So when you take it off, it more then likely won't be painted the whole way across the hood. :awsome:

My friends car thats the same color as yours was painted underneath but not cleared. It looked a million times better with the pad off. I took them off of both of my cars as well.
