lmao Its my daily driver, so its got everything I could ever want in it.

Gonna roll over 190,000 miles tomorrow, and the only thing with that mileage on it is the sheet metal, frame, and inner workings (fuel lines and such) Replaced a bunch of interior stuff, the suspension, axles, transmission, engine was replaced at 76000 lol

Also, I picked up a 96 F350 last year to take care of plowing duties. Have an 8.5 foot western on the front. Itll move some snow! lol Can you guys tell I like Blue?

gpfarrell on here has a sweet F250 extended cab - same color - with a 460 and a 5-speed. Maybe he'll chime in...

Oh - I like blue too!!

That's a beautiful truck Paxton!

And I hear that on hard to find. Both of those trucks came from southern Virginia.

Thanks! It isn't completely rust free, but much better than most you see around. Next spring once the roads are clean and the Cobra can be a daily driver for a while I plan on having a few little spots ( the usual spots - behind the front wheels and above the rear wheels ) cleaned up and sprayed. It comes in so handy when the snow flies. Just a tad over 72k miles as of now - so it should be in the driveway for a LONG time... The only thing I don't absolutely love about it is the 12mpg the little 5.0 gets...

LOL Mine is starting to rust at the cab corners :(

I had a 5.0 truck once. I absolutely hated it. Too small, too horrid MPG, and couldnt tow jack. I think the 300's are a better motor lol

I have some tricks for never letting that rust come back for the fenders and bed :)

weareweird, was your truck in a previous magazine without the brush guard on the front? I swear I've seen that in a Ford Mag a few years ago, if not it looks damn close. awesome looking truck!

No, I dont think so lol if it was, then thats news to me! Thanks!

So what tricks are you talking about for the rust not to come back? I was just going to have the guy who restored my Dad's cars weld some small patches in for the "bad" spots, and grind/fill/spray where the paint is starting to bubble. The truck sits out during the summer months, and inside during the winter.

I hear ya about the 5.0 - it isn't enough for this size truck. A basic 351 stroked to 408 would be a nice upgrade someday...

Welcome back. Truck looks great.. and congrats on the engagement

Thanks Scott!

And Paxton, the rust is simple. Remove the inner part of the fenders. The fenders are double walled, and hold EVERYTHING, the fronts rust out because the drain for the cowl is right there, so all the leaves and crap that somehow manage to get into the cowl (my 96's were packed full of crap) all drains there and rots.

The Bedsides are also double walled, remove that inner fender, brace the bedside, no more rot!

And the 351 in my 96 is horribly underpowered LOL a 408 is a minimum for these trucks IMO.
