I had my Cooling fan die on me a few weeks back sitting at a red light. I was wondering if anyone else had that problem with their car.

Ive got about 70K on it now, and the thing just went BANG, and then started making all kinds of interesting noises.

The cheapest one I found was from Rock Auto for 85 bucks, a lot better than 350+ from Ford, and 185 from Advanced auto.

I also at this time found out about the coolant filling procedure and the huge pain in the ass it was! Just sharing my pain lol

Heard that's a pretty common issue with the cooling fans.

Yeah, I heard that as well after the fact. So if anyone is wanting a replacement, Rockauto!

Have you had to replace your rear main seal yet? I also heard this was common but not sure. I just noticed mine leaking last week.

I had a good one happen to my fan...an idler blew apart and a ball bearing somehow worked its way inside the motor housing and fried it. I was puzzled being a low mileage car until I found that inside. I replaced the motor with a spare from a 2004 crown Vic and wired it up to run all the time.

Ive had idlers peel open like tin cans on my car as well.
