whoops! didn't see that...My cousin told me it was on craigslist and I was too excited/jealous/pissed about it sitting outside to worry about seeing if it was already posted:awsome:

I know what you mean. He had a 996 twin turbo, 700hp, caged. You could tell it lived a beat life. It was not a good example of a 996. He gets some impressive shit there, but I don't think I'd ever buy from him.

Talked to the dealer yesterday, he says that car will stay in the garage at night. Don't know if it will, don't live close enough to drive by it and see.

Won't really "rot" in snow, considering it's basically frozen water...

Now, if you drove it around in the salt, different story.

What difference does it make? These cars aren't street legal. And I have never seen it outside, so I guess it does stay in a garage.

meh, its still bad for the paint. All that dirty acid rain and stuff. Not to mention all the water sitting there then drying then coming back then drying etc. will eventually start to rust even the tiniest spots where there is no paint. And that rust will spread.

Apparently it stays in this big warehouse right next to the shop, but i have yet to see it move. I live about 5 mins away and see it everyday...

I guess i'm glad I can't afford it ... I would drag that thing all over the east coast on an open trailer, race it to within an inch of it's life, let it sit out at the track overnight, and in general use it as a race car ... Ride it hard and put it away wet :D

Thats the last thing i'd expect to see at a used car dealer. If someone had the money, this would easily give a return profit a few years from now.
