This is my first Ford car in many years, have been a GM guy and still am somewhat. I have a Buick Grand National (1987) I bought it new and it has lots of mods and is a show and go car. Too many mods to list and I am sure you guys want to hear about Mustangs not Grand Nationals, I only have one more thing to say about my GN it runs low tens when set up for the drag strip with 25lbs boost. Boost at 15lbs, real streetable.
Now for the Stang my last name is Nuss so I call it the Nustang. I wanted another muscle car of the newer generation, so I looked at the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang. I loved the Mustangs looks the best and that new 5.0 V8 made my decision final. So I now own a 2012 Calif. Special Stang. It handles great and the power for a naturally aspirated motor it real special, much faster than the SS Camaro or the SRT Challenger. It is metallic silver with the CS decals, emblems, etc. So far I have installed the magnaflow axle back stright pipes (no mufflars) Still has the cats and resignators so it is really not that loud. It is however very throaty. I still have not gotten any answers or reasons as to why Ford smashed the resignators? Makes no sense and hurts performance. I will be putting the full magnaflow system on it in the near future. Also installed the AirAid cold box system and the Bama Tunes. It is the automatic trans, I had the 315 gears removed and had the Ford 373 put in. With these simple mods the car is SO MUCH FASTER than stock, and stock was pretty fast!!!
My buddy Don also bought a 2012 GT with the manual trans. he has done the same mods as me and his car is likewise much faster. We are both looking into supercharging our Stangs and have done extensive checks on all the systems, we like the ProCharger the best due to the simple install with no cuts or grinding of the motor like most other systems. The ProCharger installs with no cutting of motor, hoses, etc. and if need be for any major warrenty work can be put back to stock with-out the dealer ever knowing the car had a supercharger on it. I know lots of you will be giving reasons why some of the other systems are better and thats fine, to each his own, I am only giving you the reasons we like the ProCharger system that puts out over 600HP. Thats about all for now and looking forward to my new Mustang relationships.
Sincerely, Bill (Nustang)
