So I'm looking to get a car cover for the stang. The main reason for wanting one is to keep the dust/dirt off of it over the winter. It is garaged kept so whether or not the cover is water repellant/sun protectant isnt an issue. I do not want to spend alot either. I actually was looking to just buy one from walmart or pepboys. The only thing I do not like about the covers I've been seeing is they seem like there not soft enough, the texture just seems like it would put fine scratches in the paint or are they all like that? Anyone purchase a cheap cover from a local store or have any recommendations?

I get bed comforters from a local thrift store. My grandfather also frequents a lot of auctions and sales so I have him get them also. They are super soft. I use them to cover cars in the garage then drape a thin plastic sheet (like used in body shops) over the blankets to keep dust from going through.

I have a California Dustop cover. No issues with it whatsoever:
