Greetings everyone,
I wasn't aware there was a website for mustang enthusiasts in my area so that alone has me interested on joining this forum. Lol.
Well as of October 11 2011 was my first year owning my Mustang Legion. Legion is a 2009 Black Mustang GT Premium. The reason I got Legion was because . . . Well I got my jeep paid off and I wanted something faster.
:woot1:
I was originally looking at the 2011 v6 mustangs. They have similar HP and better fuel economy. What's not to like? I test drove 2 and really liked them. I even tried a 2010 v6 Camaro. Don't worry . . . I hated it. I couldn't see out the back window and the side windows made it hard to see also. Not sure how they are even street legal with those windows. I then took a look at some used GT mustangs. After I test drove one it was over for me. No way I was getting a v6 after hearing the rumble of a v8.
I poked around until fall so I'd get a good deal on one. That's when I found my future mustang at a volkswagen dealer. 15000 miles on it and I was able to haggle the price below a base prices 2011 v6 as well as got a steal of an Apr rate. Been enjoying my mustang in the warm months ever since. Put it away every winter.
Currently saving for a supercharger so I can bring the thrill I had the first day I drove my mustang home. 300HP - 320 lb-ft torque just isn't cutting it anymore.

Considering you have a 700HP + cobra and are still saying such a thing then there has to be some truth to it. Btw how is that Kenne Bell? One of my top picks for a supercharger right now.

Isn't that a heavy metal band? I've never listened to them. Might have to do so. I named my car after a character from the Mass Effect 2 game.

Welcome aboard. You'll fit in just fine around here - the vast majority of us have no clue what "enough" horsepower is...:D

Yeah, if you want to get into death metal that is the album you need to buy. It contains tracks including but not limited to:
Satan Spawn, The Caco-Daemon
Repent to Die
and of course, "In Hell I Burn", a true classic
Deicide- In Hell I Burn - YouTube

Alright alright. But, where can we let loose all that HP legally? What tracks are around? Never been to one yet.

That's a great paint job on your mustang. Where did you get that done? Might need that down the road when I start doing cosmetic mods on my mustang. :)

Legal places to enjoy excessive horsepower...
1/4 mile drag strips - Pittsburgh Raceway Park and Quaker City Raceway ( Salem, OH )
Road course - BeaveRun ( Wampum, PA - about 30 minutes from Greater Pgh Airport )
In 5 short months we'll be able to enjoy them again...

There are numberous dragstrips within hours of here, two road courses within an hour or two of Pittsburgh, three or four active autocross clubs running events nearly every weekend within an hour or so of the city, we have what I feel to be the best Hillclimb series in the country with events ranging from 2-5 hours of the city, flashlight drags.....

Well . . . Pittsburgh is a good location for mustang owners. No wonder I see so many of them around. Can't wait till spring now.

Thanks! My buddy owns a body shop in New Stanton, Sanners Auto Body. They repainted the car for me, and the guy that did the airbrush work was Ron Rich Jr.

No cosmetic mods so it's a stock black mustang GT.
Pictures are right here.

Slow01GT - - -You won't have to worry about my car looking non-stock for a long while. Performance mods are high on my to do list. After I get it race worthy then I might start giving it a face lift. If I can't make it go any faster at the point anyway. lol :hyper:

Lol.
How much custom fabrication would be needed for such a project though.
