Recently put a set of nice wheels on my 95 Explorer. My wife decieded to drive it and put a gouge in one of the wheels. Rule of thumb, if you have a woman or kids driving your vehicle, DONT PUT NICE WHEELS/ TIRES ON THEM. My wife should be in the ARMY driving a TANK!

Or get oversized tires with bulging sidewalls.

Some tires have a rim protector on them. The sidewall nearest the rim sticks out alittle more than the lip of the rim. It works decent with light brushes against curbs.

My wife got me a couple times over the years. She ruined one of the factory Z rated Michelins and Pony wheels on my 93 when it was only a couple years old. At that time the Michelin was the only tire avalible, and there where no cheap or used Pony wheels. I think the wheel was 350 or 400 from Ford. I know she pulled out of work, spun it around, and hit a curb. She denies it to this day.
Another time we had a Suburban. It was parked in the driveway next to my Turbo Coupe. She dragged the front bumper up the side of the Turbo Coupe. I know it was at least a Suburban because the plastic bumper strip has 5 stripes molded into it. It was a perfect match for the 5 lines going up the side of the car. She also denies this. I guess someone with a Suburban pulled into my driveway after she left, hit my car, and drove away.

Yep, gotta be careful! You should see the wheels on my girlfriend's Tiburon, then look at the wheels on both of my cars, and you'll see why she's not parking my cars anywhere!
