Granatelli Rear Control Arms - FOX

I don’t usually buy cheap stuff but for the Vert, I’m not too worried about it. I bought the Granatelli upper and lower control arms new for $150. Has anyone ran these? Are these junk? :thmbsup:

if you look on stangnet theres a lot people that had problems with them, but ive also seen a bunch that didnt so i dont know. i know people have beef with gms products so i steered away from them when i changed mine.

I'll tell you, if you have any decent horsepower, dont use them.. I dont wanna argue with anyone, but I have seen them torn up too many times.. I know its allot more money, but if its a car you plan to keep a long time and plan to make any decent horsepower with anytime in the future, you cant beat the UPR Pro series stuff. $500 will get you the ENTIRE rear kit WITH ARB. ALLOT of VERY fast cars run that stuff.. We put the UPR pro street (a step below the pro) in brothers car (they have the urethane bushings) and tore a bushing out the 2 time to the strip. Called upr, they sold us the parts to convert them to the Pro Series (just different ends) for like $50.. SUPER nice customer service.. I have the UPR pro stuff in my car also only thing I did different to ours was modify the lower arms to have grease fittings on both ends since we both do some street driving.

I have the UPR lowers and Steeda adjustable uppers on my notch...love them! No, my vert is stock and wont go past 250 RWH.

Not worth the money. Spend the extra $20 and get some Steeda's or other better quality arms. I tried to save some money before and in the end it could have cost me my car. I'm probably only about 250-260rwhp and I nearly ripped the the GMS double adjustable uppers in half on both sides. Pics in link a few posts above.

Im not even worried about it. I just started taking apart the heads I was going to use on this motor....they are junk. One has cracks....This car will stay at its 189 RWH!!!!

buy nice or buy twice, the cheaper stuff is great for the street but once you hit em with slicks at the track and start seeing 1.5 range 60' times alot of stuff starts to fail, sometimes even the good stuff...

A few weeks back I saw a set of the Granatelli's for sale on corral classifieds for a really good price...well upon doin a little research into them, the rumors I have heard in the past about them are true. Too many people complaining about the tolerances being too sloppy, too many people returning or selling them, etc... I went with UPR pro street chrom-moly lowers, I have never heard anything bad about their control arms. After the install a few weeks ago I have to say I am completely happy with them.

My choice ended up bein between Maximum Motorsports, UPR, and Steeda (in that order). The only reason I didn't go for the MM is I couldn't bring myself to fork over the cash they want for em lol.

I will also add that Fox LCA's swap directly into a SN95 (same part #).

I wouldn't trust that product if the thing sat in the garage.
