95GT alternator on 86GT

I blew the alternator on my 86GT the other day. I'm looking to upgrade to a 3G alternator and from what I've read the 95GTs came with them and they'll fit on my car with minor wiring mods. Has anyone done this to their fox? If so, how did you go about wiring it in? Do I need to buy a new wiring harness or is it possible to just splice it in? If I can splice it, can you tell me how to go about doing so. Thanks guys.

I did it, I think its as easy changing the regulator plug. colors match if i remember right..
you have to cut some of the alternator bracket out to make it fit
