A 9.22 is pretty low in the 9 second range... Did Al O run simulations to come up that "range"? :pepper:

I like the car but I dont like the huge front tires. Some 17in front Runners would look way better IMO

GM Executives "WOW Ford is doing well with this retro muscle car stuff maybe we should do it to?"
.... fortunate for them there's a lot of pent up demand from the bow-tie boys and frankly it's good for us too because this will push Ford even harder: Example 2013 GT500

That has more than enough power to punish a ZL1.
The main power mod the 2013 GT500 has is the TVS 2300. Plenty of 2007-2012 GT500 owners do the same swap and hit low 700 to the wheels. :D Not bad for a $2700 upgrade.
And besides according to the test numbers posted, even the ZL1 is running slower times than the 2012 GT500 in the 1/4mi. I know theyre magazine numbers, but thats what we have to go off of right now.
Fact: 2012 GT500s have went 11.8 bone stock
Fact: 2012 ZL1's have only went low 12's in tests so far (I am sure they will get faster but as of right now this is all we have to go by)

Not to start and argument but you are not hitting low 700's with just a TVS! And the 2013 will be 5.8L ...

Oh ya, but I have the supporting mods already for the TVS to hit 700, and sorry I should have specified, the VMP TVS, not the FRPP TVS.
VMP TVS runs a 2.5 pulley since it has a machine hub, which gives it 17 psi, vs. the 2.59 pulley that the FRPP TVS can run which is 14psi.
I currently run a CJ65 TB, a JLT 127MM Intake. I also have a set of 72lb injectors sitting here, and with the stock FPDM I will have more than enough fueling to hit a good bit over 700. Add a 10% lower and it's around 730-740'ish. Add headers and you're more comfortably there.
I don't feel the GT500 is gaining much hp from the .4L displacement bump, just efficiency.
I don't know how much hp, my car is making since it has not been dyno'd but similar setups to mine (2.59 pulley, cj65, jlt 127, heat exchanger etc) are putting down around 550-575 in the 2011-2012's, but knowing my luck I have a dud of a car.

730-740 with a TVS? Are there actually people out there, other than Justin that have hit those numbers safely? I know at one point he made 720's but I've been out the mod game for a while. I know from experience it's not easy breaking that 700 barrier.

720+ is quite the norm with a VMP, larger TB, injectors, intake, at least lately it is. From what I read, 50-60hp is attributed just to the TB, injectors, high flow elbow and 127mm intake.

Uh, OK your point is you can modify the Mustang to make it faster, it's a shame that a Camaro can't be modified to be faster than stock, or a Challenger, or a Civic, or a Smart car. I'm not trying to E-thug here, but I thinks it's hilarious how the ZL1 sucks and is crazy slow, even though not one of them has been delivered and it's all fat magazine writers putting performance numbers out. If I dug it out I still have the old MT's and C&D's when the 03 Cobra's came out and they were listed as mid 13+ cars in the tests. And the COPO Camaro is way underpowered and slow even though none are built and no certified HP numbers have even been released. I honestly feel the GT500 is a better straight line performer than the ZL1 will be, autocross car, I'm not sure. Until Chevrolet makes a forged bottom end I feel the Mustangs have a great edge because it's so easy to turn the wick up. But for Gods sake there's more to the automotive world than Mustangs, and that's a good thing.

You are defenately there I'd say. My 08 GT500 with upper pully, cai, axle back and tune made 550 RWHP

Ford just took the easy way to hit 650.

The same way 12 GT500's will modify to run with 13 GT500's will be the same way 12 ZL1's will modify to run with 13 GT500's, I understand your point
