Just picked up this late 84 Gt T Top, very clean original car with no motor or trans. I have an 85.5 SVO im going to use as a donor for the drivetrain.

Are you going to lose the nasty cruise-control steering wheel?
Looks nice Lou! Soon you're going to need a section called "In Lou's Garage"...

The 84 V8 automatic cars were factory fuel injected. Not the traditional 86+ look, but I think it was more of a throttle body injection.

I was pretty certain that was an 85 thing as well, might want to look further into it.
I remember going to look at an '85 coupe with the AOD and it was CFI.

Yeah, it was 84 & 85. I can't imagine how slow those cars would have been, lol. My 85 with the 5 spd barely ran 14's when it was stock.
Here's one of the 84's... http://www.autotraderclassics.com/classic-car/1984-Ford-Mustang-382477.xhtml?conversationId=47455

Yeah, unfortunately for me I got the car in 98, lol. Oh well, if I had something faster back then it would have likely ended up in a ditch.
