What year is the block?

You can't "punch out" a 351 to 427. Has to be done with a stroker crank. Not sure how far you can go, certainly not above .060.

im not sure the year on the block i think its early 90s late 80s motor was given to me im ether going to bore this motor or im going to buy a 427 ford racing small block

Have the block sonic checked. This will give you a definite answer on how far you can safely overbore.

Are you planning on doing this NA or with boost/spray?

You should spend 2 weeks reading on teh interwebz about SBF's or find an engine builder you trust to build the engine for you.

.040 max on the bore, no 427, stick with a 4" stroke crank. And if na is the plan save up about 10-13,000 to achieve your goals

nope im going to run NA. the motor runs 11s as is i just want to put it in to the low tens high 9s. im trying to avoid doing a big block swap but if its going to cost me to much ill just buy one of my father in laws big block race car motors

So basically you are trying to make NASCAR power levels on a budget? Even a 427 at 14 to 1 would have to turn in the neighborhood of 8,000 rpm to attain anywhere near the kind of power levels you are talking about, which means the factory block isn't going to be adequate. You will likely be in the 15K range, easily. Or you could just spray it. What mods are done to the engine currently to run 11s? What does it run 11s in?
A big block swap is another thread, not exactly an easy undertaking either.

Isn't this like the 8 or 9th proposed motor option for the car? Maybe you're better off leaving well enough alone?

no this is not going in my cobra as of right know there is no budget for the build im thinking about this is going to be for a full blown race car

Best two statements in thread. Threads like this is why scs is dying and the young bloodz have taken over? Whats next thread? How much hp can a stock block handle or i know how do i get traction?

To OP don't get upset but your question was kinda off base. These sites ARE for questions to be answered with, but, your questions were not really thought out for the aspect of getting legitimate answers. I.E " hey guys I have a Windsor I would like to upgrade to put in my car, previously it made xxxx hp I would like to know if anyone had any suggestions". There are a few experienced Windsor builders on this site ( myself) and good info can be had here, if the right LEGIT questions are asked. There have been multiple posts on different 351combos on this site. But when you start on with completely unrealistic goal your gonna get flack for it. We are here to help but get annoyed with rediculous stuff

point taken i do understand the way i put my words. so let me correct my self. the motor windsor motor i have is making 450 and was reciving a 150 shot the motor was installed in a 71 torino 500. i really dont want to use spray so if i can not reach this goal with a small block im going to buy one of my father in laws 514 big blocks. to get the job done so with that being said what do you think should i spend the money to build the small block or buy a motor that i seen run 9s. so all suggestions are welcome and sorry for not typing this right the first time
