So I'm having major issues with my car. Here is a little history;

93 cobra
AL9 ECM with SCT chip
Vortech S-trim
TFS heads, cam, intake
42# injectors
Pro-M 80mm MAF

I had this setup dyno'd in 2005 and the car ran great until I tore it down for a repaint. (2 years ago)

Fast-forward to 2011. Car was back up and running, but just didn't feel right. I limped it around all summer. Swapped out coolant temperature sensor in the fall, and the car felt much better, but still not 100%.

Two weeks ago I decided to dig into the car a little more and pulled the plugs. 7 plugs were lean and 1 was brand new. Hmm.

After swapping an injector and sparkplug wire at #4 cylinder, Vital brought over a spare ECM. Tossed that in, and the car was back! I came home yanked the old sparkplug wire off, but didnt hook the s/c bypass valve vacuum line back on. Went down the road and noticed a blue smoke screen. Ooops. Came back, plugged line in, then the car started running SUPER rich. Like top-fuel rich. Vital thought I was exaggerating when I said the fuel was pouring out the tailpipes. He came over and freaked out. Fuel is just pouring out at every flange, anywhere it can get out.

So WTF would make the car run that rich during open loop? O2 sensors shouldnt be giving any feedback to the ECM. Even so, I had new ones that I just put in today. That didnt help. The adjustable fuel regulator doesnt seem to be bad (pulled vacuum line off to see if fuel sprayed out), but I didnt check the fuel pressure yet.

Damn Fords!

check to make sure the fuel return line isn't kniked anywhere...mine was like that when I first got it...fuel poured out the tailpipes

Is the smoke still blue?

No blue. Straight fuel pouring out. I've never seen anything like this before.

Race car.

Your o2 sensors were turned off in the tune. Check the 10pin connectors. What's your fuel pressure? Seems as if your tune could have somehow become corrupt. You shouldn't have an a9l in they. Didn't cobras have a different processor?

Much bigger problems this evening. Started it up to check fuel pressure and terrible sounds from motor. I think cylinders washed out due to the excess fuel. Not good at all.

Check your oil. See how much it has went up. Drain it and dump a few squirts in each cylinder.

I checked the oil right after the incident. It's full. I started the car for 1-2 seconds tops. Scared the hell outta me.

8/5 update...

I noticed that all the fuel from the tailpipes was actually from drivers side only. Hmm. Talked to my tuner, and he was leaning towards a stuck injector. What's a few hundred more dollars right? Well, that didn't help.

So I still have two problems...TONS of fuel coming from drivers tailpipe and a terrible engine knock. Atleast it runs...sorta.

1. So I have to rule out any type of sensor since its only the drivers side.
2. I think the problem is with #8 cylinder. Pulled that plug and fell over from all the gas. It was the only plug like that.

I assume you exhaust has a cross over being either a H or X pipe. Just because it is the drivers side tailpipe, does not mean it is the drivers side of the engine.

Sure you didn't bend a valve or rod if it was full of fuel?
